2024 GMC Sierra 1500 EV Concept, Engine, Specs – 2024 GMC Sierra has officially stated that it plans to release an all-electric full-size pickup vehicle in 2024. At this point, neither a date nor a name has been given. There is little doubt that it will be based on the Chevrolet Silverado Electric Vehicle, expected to be released shortly.
The Hummer EV truck and SUV are far more extensive and more costly than this vehicle, designed to compete with the Ford F-150 Lightning. General Motors’ Ultium batteries, used in Hummer vehicles and the Silverado EV, are expected to be used in the forthcoming GMC Sierra EV.
2024 GMC Sierra Redesign
A new infotainment system increased torque in the Sierra’s smallest engine, and two new high-end trims are all part of 2024 GMC Sierra redesign. SLE, Elevation, ATX, Denali, and Sierra and Denali Ultimate trims are all available on the new Sierra 1500 EV. The ATX’s off-road capabilities have been improved upon by the Sierra 1500 EV, which also has more upscale features. Beyond the extremely sumptuous Denali, the ultimate Denali offers even more opulence.
Atx4 has spool valve dampers, electronic locking differentials in the front and rear, and springs that enable additional suspension travel, as well as a terrain mode for 4Lo that permits one-pedal drive when rock crawling. Leather upholstery with white piping and red stitching, dark wood trim, a synthetic suede headliner, 16-way power massaging seats, and a 15.0-inch head-up display are all standard features on the inside of the vehicle. Interior

Engine
For two of 2024 GMC Sierra four engine, the maximum towing capacity has been increased. It all begins with the basic engine, which is a 2.7-liter turbo-4 with increased torque of 383 lb-ft and a horsepower of 310 hp. With rear-wheel drive, the maximum towing capacity rises from 9,100 lb. to 9,600 lb. Not returning is the 285-horsepower 4.3-liter V-6, which was the basic powerplant.
All-wheel drive is standard on the 3.0-liter inline-6 turbodiesel. This year, GMC adds an optional 13,200-pound towing package to the extended cab’s 9,200-pound towing capability. On the motorway, the diesel scores 30mpg. Both the 6.2-liter and the 4.2-liter V-8 engines from GMC produce more than 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Denali Ultimate vehicles now come with the 6.2-liter V8 as standard equipment. With the 2.7-liter turbo-4, an 8-speed automatic gearbox is used; the other engines use a 10-speed automatic that has been updated to include shift paddles this year.
2024 GMC Sierra Release Date and Price
The price of the 2024 GMC Sierra ranges from $32,495 for the basic Pro model to $80,395 for the Denali Ultimate. Sierra models will be available for purchase in the spring of 2024.
